Do:
- Keep up with a regular exercise program of three or four 20-30 minute sessions per week.
- Take antibiotics an hour before having dental work done or before any invasive procedure.
- Always apply antibiotics to cuts and scratches.
- Get and carry a card certifying that you've had a joint replacement, since your new joint may set off security alarms at airports, malls and government buildings.
Don't:
- Run. (Walking several miles is fine.)
- Play singles tennis.
- Water-ski.
- Ski.
- Snowboard.
- Skate.
- Skateboard.
- Participate in high-risk activities such as skydiving.
