MMC Joint Replacement Center - Because there's no replacement for you Innovative Technology
and Treatment

The most advanced technology

The physicians who participate in the Methodist Joint Replacement Center program have met - and set - very high standards. The center has the latest advances to help improve outcomes, reduce discomfort and speed healing.

The knee navigation system increases the precision of joint alignment to unprecedented levels. In some types of joint replacement, this advanced new system achieves 100% perfect alignment.

New anesthetic technologies reduce postoperative discomfort and side effects, and help patients get back on their feet sooner - often a full day sooner than older methods. One example of advanced regional nerve block techniques, the femoral nerve block, intercepts pain impulses from the knee without effecting other areas of the body.

Some joint replacements can be done as minimally-invasive procedures. This reduces recovery time and side effects even more.

Group therapy improves and speeds recovery.

Group Therapy Progress Board
Group Therapy Progress Board
Therapy after surgery is done in a group, in which patients cooperate and encourage each other. This group therapy approach is proven to improve outcomes and help patients recover more quickly and completely. In most cases, recovery times are shortened by as much as 30%, so patients can get back to the activities they love sooner.
